I was playing IQ this morning and I got the highest score I've ever gotten: 899,500 . And I was wondering, anyone here ever break a million points? It's my goal, but I don't even know if it's actually possible.

Is this game rare? I was wondering because my local Gamestop has it for $45 used, which is way high for a PS1 game. I guess I don't see it much but I was wondering if it was one of those "Suikoden 2 rare" kind of games to keep an eye out for.

I don't know about " RARE " but it is hard to find and it sells for $40.00 - $75.00 on E-Bay.

It's up there with Suikoden II. Low print run + hell of a fun game = high price.

I dont' remember points, but I did get an IQ of 270 the first day I played the game, which was sweet. And if you can't trust your game for educational assessment, who can you trust?

In any case, pick up the game if you don't have it. IQ is one of the best games on the PSX.

Yeah, IQ is a fun puzzler. If the copy at Gamestop is complete, and if you pull out your discount card to bring it down to $40.50, well, you're not likely to get a much better deal on it anytime soon, short of swindling some rube.

I checked Twin Galaxies but they didn't have any high scores for it.

270 the FIRST time? Damn. My high score the day I got it was like 50. And that's good but it's not a million; my high score is just under 900,000 and the IQ was 363. I'll trust that IQ for future reference :D

And I agree, IQ is one of the best games for the aged PS-X. I'll go as far as to say it's one of the best games I've ever played. Plus I was lucky, I bought it from a friend of mine for ten bucks, so I didn't have to play GameStop's high prices :-D

Sorry, had to bring back this thread, needed a place to gloat. I finally beat IQ, and I didn't get the million yet :sigh: , and I don't have a video camera where I could prove it (only a digital camera. Dammit!). So I can't submit it to Twin Galaxies. You think if I brought my PS-X and the game to CGE I could get into the recordbook?

I crack up every time someone says Suikoden II is rare. The game does'nt seem THAT rare to me (you can find copies plenty in the wild, just expect to pay for them). It's more like a case of a game that did'nt get the reconiztion it deserved when it first came out and then people realized what a great game it was. :) I got mine new for a song.

Sort of like this game, I guess, though I never played it. :D
