Everyone claims to have their bad Game Stop moments, everyone but me. Today I finally took my share so I decided to post it for the rest of the world to see.

I walk into Game Stop and I see a few NES controllers for sale, $1.99 each. Since Game Stop was having a Buy 2 Get One Free sale, I decided to buy three different NES controllers. One controller was jet black, the other two were green.

So what's the big deal? I walk up to the counter with these three controllers that I am purchasing. The clerk asks me why I would want to buy the green controllers. I responded by telling him that I collect Nintendo stuff. The man had insisted that I really didn't want to buy these green controllers, because the cords were too short! I told him that I didn't care about cord length; he snapped asking if he should take them out of the bag to prove how short the cords were. I told him not to do that, that I was going to by those controllers if that was the last thing I did. Reluctantly the controllers were bagged and I walked away with them.

This was the first time that I had received poor service in a looooooong time. That man probably wanted those controllers for himself, greedy bastard :)

Anyone ever see a NES controller like this? I've seen Famicom pirate controllers similar to this, but never NES ones. The only manufacturer listed is QSL. Am I correct in thinking that this is a new release?

New release, from France of all places. Video Game Exchange in Plaistow has a ton of those.

Interesting. Both of my controllers have a label slapped on saying "Made in China." Hmm...

If he did want them for himself, why the hell didn't he keep them in the back room or behind the counter? I know every place of business, ever, allows their employees to hide shit to buy at a later time. It only makes sense, the money earned by said employee is going straight back to the company.

They look like generic HK Famicom controllers to me. Nothing too special. I think you should take one in and cut the cord with a knife right in front of him and say "NOW they're too short, bastard!" LOL

Yeah, they are like generic HK Famicom controllers though they are for the NES. Pretty cool.
