I've been reading the many early reviews, and although there isn't one single 'killer game' to buy for it, I like where they are going with the Playstation Move, so i'm going to pre-order the starter bundle.

Anyone else pre-order this?

Move and Sports Champion: http://reviews.cnet.com/game-controllers/sony-playstation-move-starter/4505-3146_7-34167419.html?part=cnet&subj=Sony+PlayStation+Move+Starter+Bundle+Kit

I'm waiting to see if it flops or not. If it flops, I should be able to pick one up at a cheap price in a few months. If not, I'll probably get one next year when there's more support for it.

KZ3, Time Crisis, and RUSE are the only titles on that list that interest me to any degree as far as using the Move. I will buy SOCOM 4 but I don't think I could warm up to using a motion controller on a third-person tactical shooter.

If I get it, I'm just buying the controllers. I already have the camera and Sports Champions doesn't appeal to me.

Wii is less motion "control" and more motion "detection." It's like pointing a flash light at a wall. There's depth(further and closer,) or a flat direction, but it can't tell actual motion. The depth perception of the Wii isn't too great either to be honest. Let's also not forget how innacurate Wiimote is, especially in a small room when you don't have much distance between you and the sensor bar. I can't tell you how accurate the Wii Motion Plus is though, as I've only used the standard Wiimotes.

Either way, the Move is better than the Wiimote, but still not interested in it. It all depends on what it comes out with within the next year.

I don't pre-order much of anything but, I'm absolutely planning on picking up two Move Wands and two Sub Controllers.

Not sure about the games yet. Move Sports Champions and Echochrome ii for sure ... and I already have High Velocity Bowling and Pain ... both are getting patched.

I've been following the developer diaries since day one and I'm excited with how far it has come and what potential the hardware holds for the future.

There was MASSIVE coverage on Kotaku yesterday of all the hardware and software and I'm very pleased with the positive reviews I saw.

OP, you should add Flight Control HD to the list of 3rd party games announced.

If the Move gets really good reception from people, then I may just pick it up somewhere down the line. Otherwise, I'll pick it up and some of the games for pennies after it bombs.

You won't have to wait long.

Just like the Eye Toy. Picked that up used for $0.99. But, I'll maybe pay a little more for this device, like $10 once it bombs.

This term fits Kinect better, as Move looks like it'll be good and has a working motion system, unlike MS's camera bar that doesn't control well and doesn't look all that worth it right now for animals and dancing (Ooh, look, Microsoft's versions of Nintendogs and the shovelware Wii dancing games!).

I'm not. Sony told us years ago that motion control was a gimmick and a fad that would soon die out. I'm choosing to believe them.

My thoughts exactly, except I bought mine in 2009.

I have a gut feeling it will fail. It may sell well at first, but in a few months will drop like a bomb.

I will wait to get one, hopefully at a reduced price. And just to "collect" and not much else.

It damn well outta be, but that is yet to be tested at market. Sony has had over four years to copy the Wiimote and this is attempt #2. If it's not better, at least, Sony gets to eat Double-Fail.

I'm going to wait and see how the light gun games work and what light gun games are released for it. I'm a total sucker for light gun games and I'm really disappointed how the Wii remote works as a light gun....

They also introduced Sixaxis and thought it was a viable replacement for rumble. How wrong they were. :P Though you are right, Sixaxis isn't very popular now.

I'm with you RXD, the light gun potential is what I'm interested in. I can dance and exercise for free.

You've mistaken me for someone who cares about either company's gimmick.

I watched them play it on Attack Of The Show and I think I'll pass. It looks like your playing the Wii with better graphics.

When you get the move and Time Crisis be sure to post your impressions here. I'm interested in this also and I'm curious about the moves light gun accuracy...

I could not care less. *shrug* This could be a turning point, as none of this motion-controlled gameplay interests me.

Same here. Time Crisis is pretty much the only thing I'm interested in on the Move for now. I want it but I want to know how accurate the "gun" is and, also a big deal for me, is how much it would cost just to play it. I gotta get the Move itself, the PS Camera, the Gun peripheral AND the game itself!

You don't have to get the gun accessory.

Hmmm ... didn't realize that we were all so "over" motion controls/unimpressed with what Move has been shown to be capable of in pre-release hands-on reviews.

Since it looks like I'm the only person on the entire forum who will be picking Move up at launch, I'll be sure to post a detailed review of the hardware and any of the software that I get for the sake of those who don't venture outside of DP for their gaming review needs.

I am just going to use my guncon from Time Crisis 4. I have no desire to buy either Kinnect of Move at this point.

Well, I don't HAVE to but it's just not the same without it! Just like the gun games on the Wii...

I just remember the older motion controls. You could look as cool as these guys while playing your games.

I preordered the bundle with the camera, but I have a wii that rarely or never gets played so I dont know how long this will hold my interest. I kinda like to relax on the couch or bed and have the controller resting on me and not have to wave my hand and arms all over the place. Will be good thing to do with the kids though.
