So I managed to come across a Nes Advantage joy stick and need help or ideas of what i can do to fix it.

Symptoms: The joystick does not work up down left or right. The A and B buttons do not seem to work either yet both leds for the turbo will light up and flash.

I have already disassembled it and cleaned all the contact points on the joystick, A/B buttons, as well as start and select. The board is now free of any dirt or dust.

I really dont know what to do from here so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. And if you want me to take pictures of it I can. (im just trying to do some cable management today so all of my electronics are all over my room.)

I'd just buy another one. They are common and cheap. Mike : )

Maybe the player select slide switch? Check turbo, start, select buttons too.

I don't know how You cleaned the insides.
I was told that a heavy spray of WD40 can work.
If it is broken it is worth a try

I opened it all up and cleaned all the rubber as well as contact points until they were looking like new. I can try wd 40 i guess.

KEEP THE WD-40 OUT OF THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS!

You are looking for Electrical Contact Cleaner, from electrical supply stores or home depot.

I suspect that player select slide switch. Jumping a wire across the two terminals would verify. Maybe post a pic of the PCB?
