Thought this was a good find. Someone was playing around with Wave Race: BS and they found a hidden code:

Go to Options and Audio Settings.

There’s a waveform display at the bottom that changes if you press the Z Button—tap Z until the waveform looks like vertically rising fog.

On the D-Pad, press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A, X, Z. You’ll hear an audio cue if you did it right.

Back out to the front end.

Start a race. Pick the first guy.

The racing commentary turns into a sarcastic guy who insults you at every turn and your turbo boost is replaced with a girl going "Meow meow!". It's funny how this stayed hidden for so long.

I always wonder why it took this long to find the code. Video game devs really need to hide codes that well in the future.

Hey now, they only hand out cheats in DLC packages nowadays (yes, I'm looking at you EA). :(

The six people that actually preferred to keep the announcer on in the Xbox 360 Scene It games will love this!

There was an easter egg that took like 25 years to find in some old Commodore 64 game or Coleco or... something. Maybe someone here remembers what I'm talking about. It was discussed in the Classic forum.

Back to the original topic, I don't understand how "no mercy" is an insult, but that's okay. Still pretty neat.

From what I saw on the video it seems to be sarcasm more than insults, but still pretty interesting. It's worth enough to me to keep an eye out for Wave Race, for the commentator entertainment, if nothing else.
