Hi everyone,
This is my first post on here and I was just wanting to ask you guys about my first collecting purchase. Was worth it (Time ad money wise)? As I say its my first ever purchase for retro collecting and it was not listed in the online guide so I had no idea of it value. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150487843873&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Thankyou for your time.

Sorry if this is the wrong are but it seemed to be the most relevent I could find.

The winning bid was a penny! :D

I can't say that I know much about Amstrad systems (though I do love Dr. Ashens' reviews of Spectrum and Amstrad games), but I'd venture to guess that the contents of the lot are "worth" more than that, even if the rest of the eBay bidders didn't think so.

If that monitor is functional and works with other systems, I'd say a penny for a working monitor is a good deal.

To me, the most amusing thing is that it's pick-up only, so you're going to have to give that person a penny in person.

I'm going to assume yes as well. The reason you only won it for a pence, I think, is just because it was local pickup only. Usually items go for a check of a lot less that way, especially video games.

That and the fact that it's sold as-is.

I like how the seller is too lazy to test it too.

I don't mean to come off as a jerk, because maybe I'm not understanding your post correctly, but why would you ask if a one pence auction is worth it for a lot? This seems like you either linked to the wrong auction (possible but unlikely?) or are trying to show off your nice find. If you want to show off stuff that's cool as I'm sure we all like hearing about our fellows getting cool stuff for cheap, just say "Hey guys look at this awesome lot I got for a penny." rather than ask if it's worth it. Otherwise it comes off as kind of sarcastic.

Also, I know you might not know this since it's your first post but there are usually specific threads for you to post cool/cheap things you find that are specifically made for bragging.
