Being a complete moron, my dog inserted a snes game pcb, out of it's cartridge, into a disassembled snes BACKWARDS, and turned it on. Dumb dog. :D
I checked the fuse using the continuity tester on my mm, and it's fine, but the snes no longer works. Is it fried? :bawling:
I, of course, am not dumb enough to do such a thing. :D My dog has lost his beer privileges for a month.
Oh dear. Sounds like you should keep animals away from your games from now on. LOL

ooga booga booga!!!
Ask for the SNES,inserting the PCB backwards creates a shitload of shorts and damages the chips so,I would say no sadly.

That's alright, it had a problem with the first controller port anyway. I was thinking of making it into a portable, but minis are better for portables. Good thing for the dog it wasn't my only snes!

I did this when I was a kid, and I've had the brick sitting in my closet ever since. I've been thinking about it lately, and I'd like to know if there's any possibility that it WOULD be the fuse that's the issue.

It could be the fuse or the 5 V Voltage Regulator that needs to be replaced or both

I'd try replacing the fuse regardless, worst case is you're out a buck or two and a bit of time.
