Getting a cool 1000 achievement points in EDF 2017 was one of my best gaming moments in 2006. Has it really been so long?

Am I the only one that didn't like EDF 2017? I tried it...played a few levels...thought it was pretty tedious and cookie cutter and hokey.....

Getting 1000 points at EDF2017 is like one of my main gaming goals I hope to achieve one day. EDF2017 was a sort of parody on games in general, so bad it becomes great again. I'm totally getting the next installment in the series, hooray :D

EDF2017 was the most mindless fun I've had in a game this generation. Can't wait to see how this sequel turns out.

It was a trial just to finish the game once (so many damn levels). I can't imagine finishing it 5 times and farming enemies to find every weapon. That's some serious dedication.

I actually just finally got my full 1000 in EDF 2017 last night. The timing on this is pretty perfect. Too bad the only date I'm hearing about it is February.

You keep going back and forth with the stages and difficulties. Once you get a stronger rocket launcher you can go back and beat this level and once you get so much health you can go forward and beat that level. Farming certain guns and replaying the fun/easy levels for massive health drops should be nothing new to a seasoned gamer.
Heybtbm, did you ever try playing it co-op? Facing down a few hundred 20-foot tall ants in one thing, but with two guns and twice the health you can do harder stages with a few thousand spiders bounding in on you.

I just beat it on hard difficulty yesterday, phew! I'm hoping that I can try coop for the first time this weekend, it would be awesome to finish a couple more levels. I really hope EDF:IA will contain online coop. It's the only thing they should change about the game!

Online co-op would be fantastic. Not holding my breath though.

hmmm... Sandot is out. My hopes just went down.
EDIT: 3-PLAYER co-op! I just got excited again.

I'm really disappointed that this sequel is being farmed out to the Matt Hazard developer... EDF has had three entries, all by Sandlot. All the quirky "so bad it's good" Japanese style is going to get thrown out the window with a Western developer on board. If this game tries to be epic and have high end graphics...
