Good to see some love for SMB2. Definitely one of my favorite NES games. Not sure about the "best", but still think this game is underrated.

I don't have a definitive list, but I'll throw out games that would usually appear in my top 10 NES games (no particular order):

Little Nemo: the Dream Master
Blades of Steel
Rescue Rangers
Tetris (2 player version)
Punch-Out! (though Super Punch-Out is a superior game...)

Dr. Mario
The Legend of Zelda
Hogan's Alley
