Ys Oath in Felghana

Ys3 gets a premium edition. This one comes at a $39.99 price tag instead of $49.99 like Ys7. $29.99 for the regular version.

I don't think I'll be getting it first day this time. I'll wait a week or so since Ys7 Premium Edition can be purchased for $45 only a day after release so I'll get the Premium Edition, but save a few dollars. The other reason is because my UMD drive doesn't work so I won't be able to play it.

I just noticed that Oath in Felghana's US version shows "only on Playstation." Even though it's the only version in the US, it's still not exclusive.

I think this set looks pretty damn nice and I'll probably get it...but I'm not in a rush for it like I was with Ys 7. I guess it's due to already having OiF on my PC and playing it in English for over 3 years already. The same goes for Ys I&II Chronicles. I know that Chronicles on the PSP has the new soundtrack but I was also able to add that soundtrack to Complete as well thus making the wait easier.

Regardless, I will still buy both just to support XSeed and for being able to bring the Ys series back to the US :)

Yeah, but we don't get a localized release of the PC version. I swear, there is NO love for JRPGs on PC these days. I might still care about PC gaming if things were different.

Considering that I can still see copies of Ys 7 CE for $45 on Amazon, I think I'll wait a bit on this one. I particularly wanted to play this one way back when I first got into Ys, but my backlog is just too much right now.

If we get a GOOD sountrack for I & II, I might be more inclined to pick that up. The DS soundtrack CD was completely lifeless, inferior to every iteration of the games to come before it.

I'll give credit; the LE for these games are phenomenal. I hope that Oath is a bit stronger of a game than VII, but I'll probably pick this up at some point just for the value.
