I picked up a flyer at a game shop for a show called "Sonicon" November 5-7 at Southfork Ranch north of Dallas. It claims to be a Anime and Gaming convention with many guests from the Sonic cartoon - voice actors, animators, etc.

Anyone local interested in checking this out?

Tough call. I hate to miss a show that is this close to me, but $40 for a single day seems a bit high for something like this. Maybe if they announce some good vendors or something.

Looks like if you pre-buy before 10.10.10 the price is $40 for the whole weekend. Much better, but I'm not sure how much I'll be out there - if it sucks I won't really go back out there at all on Sat. and Sun.
Looks interesting and I might give it a try. I did notice that their dealer tables are $200 each and they have 52 of 70 still remaining. Maybe the price is a little high? I know I was thinking of getting a table to sell some game stuff but for that price, no way. Can't even make a profit.

I had thought about a table as well, but no way for that price. I'll do much better with tables at OVGE than I could do at this one. Thinking this will be one to just skip and hope that I can find some reviews of it later for future planning.

It might be worth popping by, although if there's a bunch of dudes dressed up as Sonic and other characters I might not bother. It's a couple weeks or so after OVGE, so I might drop by.
