The 9/9 thread: Happy Birthday Playstation and Dreamcast :D

I'm surprised no one started a thread today. Anyway, today marks the US release for both Playstation (15th) and Dreamcast (11th) consoles.

'Til now, I never realized how much 9/9 was a special day for video gamers and alike. I wonder what other stuff came out on during the double nines?

Memorable day indeed! 2 extremely awesome systems... 2 of the best ever infact. I preordered a PS1 in summer 1995 and got it on launch day 9/9/95. :D

Don't forget it's the 11th anniversary of Final Fantasy VIII (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_VIII) as well (9/9/99).

Meh, since I didn't like FF VIII I shall choose to ignore it lol. As for the good ol' DC and PSX, I celebrate it by playing some JGR, Crazy Taxi and some Hyper Final Fight on my DC and Ridge Racer and Tekken on my original import PSX. I usually dont go for the 9/9/95 of the PSX since I bought mine as an import in June of 95...but its still cool :) Happy birthday my trusted old friends! Actually I'm pretty sure we get threads for this nearly every year but I digress.

Anyway, both the PS1 and Dreamcast are two of my favorite systems but I'm much more partial to the PS1. Not only does it have some of my favorite series(Syphon Filter, Bust-A-Groove) but it also got me into the whole import scene with the Dragon Ball Z games. I still ponder just how much greater the PS1 would have been if it had online multiplayer back then*sigh*

happy birthday dreamcast! ps1 & 2 can suk it :) dreamcast & saturn were better :) but eventually ps1 n 2 had enough good games for me to like them (and are now the main thing I like about my ps3...) hmmm...
