So in other words, they're re-compiling all their previous retro comps into one handy package?

LOL
Plus Satan's Hollow.
And yet, I would still buy them all, for the umpteenth time, if they included N.A.R.C.

Robotron: 2084 wiith support for dual Analog Sticks? ROCK ON.
Midway's video-clip production has been top-shelf, so I expect Treasures to have the same production values. I wonder if the video will be the only added value, however. Seems like they could (and should) emulate Activision Anthology and revel in their past. Any mention of a developer? If it's the same folks done did Anthology, we're in luck.

Plus Satan's Hollow.
...which was supposed to appear on PSX Arcade Party Pack.
I guess they figured out how to get those funky resolution Atari games (720, Toobin, etc.) to work on a PS2. Those are the only games that won't work on a PS2 off the Party Pack disc. I suppose it'd be worth it, if you were really jonezin to play 720 or Super Sprint with gimp controll.
I really hope there's more to it than this. I'd be interested if they had more games. I don't know, I guess if you didn't buy all the PSX discs, this would be a good purchase, but it seems kinda underwhelming to me.
(If Midway was smart, they'd include arcade NARC as an unlockable in the upcoming NARC update.)

WOW. That's a hell of a list. Marble Madness with a silky-smooth Gamecube analog joystick will be sweet. I'm definitely getting this one.

very nice collection there! Even including the rarely seen Joust 2!

It's good... but not perfect. The collection's missing a handful of games that I would desperately want to play on a home system, including Gorf, Wizard of Wor, and Omega Race. How come we haven't seen any of these games in Midway's collections?

Yeah... how about more games we haven't seen in comps yet, Midway? Sure give us all the ones you've already included in the earlier releases, then add more. I'd buy it then for sure.

Do you guys think the versions will be as good as the emulated versions? Sometimes the simulations suck compared to the originals.

You lost me on the question here. The past PSX comps with these games were emulated, not ports (like the Namco Museum series was, I believe.) The emulation on those was really quite good, the only think being the lack of the correct controllers for 720 and Super Sprint, hence my "gimpy control" comment.
Yeah, I'm with Dire 51 though. Satan's Hollow is the only game not previously avaliable on a PSX comp. If they were doing this more like Activision Anthology and giving us a lot of stuff, I'd be down. But this kind of feels like a cash run to me.

Does anyone else find the sound effects on Joust 2 REALLY amusing?

As a "consumer whore" I welcome the rehashing of Midway's previous releases on current gen systems.
But Zach is right on about Robotron. I had been using a MadCatz with my PS to get dual stick action, but those controllers are made out of sawdust or something.
I share Maneki's dismay, though, as I also have some frothing demand for the games he mentioned.
But Satan's Hollow will be really cool, at least for a while. I seem to remember that that game was hard.

Omega Race and Wizard of Wor are a couple more titles originally slated for the disc that morphed into Arcade Party Pak. Ditto N.A.R.C., hence the continual N.A.R.C. begging from me.
In fact, I'd buy a disc with JUST N.A.R.C. on it (not that new revamp - the original) and nothing more. If they wanted to throw in "bonus" art, behind the scenes, interviews, etc., super, but just the game on a PS2 disc would be greaaaat.
Though if they do include the original N.A.R.C. on the revamp disc, I'll have to buy it immediately.
I'm just annoyed that Tapper and Moon Patrol don't seem to be on there. (I wonder if there will be bonus unlockable games :D )

FYI and UPDATE.
Midway Games will be exhibiting at Classic Gaming Expo and demonstrating this game. We're also working on them for Spy Hunter II.
