Konami has announced that it will be rereleasing Policenauts, which was created by Hideo Kojima, through Konami Style, its online store in Japan. Policenauts is an adventure game in which players take on the role of a private investigator who also happens to be an astronaut placed in charge of protecting one of Earth's first colonies in space.
Policenauts for the PlayStation is scheduled for release in Japan on August 7.

And here I thought that this news might include some mention of an American release. That's a hell of a tease . . .

Konamistyle = Small amount of copies. Just search on Ebay for some of the earlier Konamistyle releases...such as the Beatmania IIIDX Arcade Style Controller, or the Pop'n Music Arcade Style Controller. Sold only to people who made preorders.

They changed their logo, won't do a proper run of the Aria of Sorrow art books, and now this. Yeah, they better do something drastic if I'm going to stop being mad at them. MGS3 better be good.

Yeah...it's replaced the somewhat-old one from 1997, which was a slightly modified version of the older logo dating back to 1986 (thank god they changed it before they got into MSX2 and Famicom games...yikes).
It's all over their website, look up Silent Hill 3 on Amazon.com or somewhere to see it in use on a package. The change happened pretty much before Aria of Sorrow was released, but the printing was done so we were spared the change on that latest CV title (though the control explanation board at E3 showed the new Konami logo).
Konami stands for little wave...there's not much that looks like a wave in the new one. Maybe a single wave lapping at the shore, a comment on the quality of their latest popular franchises? Ah well, at least it's a red wave. Contra never dies... :/
I find it strangely fitting, though: the new logo has been compared to that of a ramen noodle company -- and Konami's rarest game was a special hack of Gradius that replaced some enemies with noodle cans and such. It's said that not even Konami's archives have a copy.

Yeah, the ArchiMENdes edition. I'll have to ask my Japanese friend to see if he can find it somewhere (fat chance, I'm sure).
I've seen what you're talking about, though. Not sure yet if I really like it...
