With Bungie moving on to their new IP with Activision, this could potentially be the last great Halo game since it's the last one being made by it's creators. I wasn't that impressed with the beta but thats because they kept so much stuff out of it. But now having learned everything that they are adding to this one I'm much more excited for it, especially the multiplayer.
So who else is picking this up in two days? Also, are you worried about future Halo games now that 343 Industries is taken over for Bungie?

I'll wait till the price drop. I really like the Legendary Edition Figurine, but not willing to shell out $150 for it.

I have the limited edition pre-ordered but I don't think I'll go at midnight. I'll just wait till Tuesday morning.

I don't think anyone is going to screw up the Halo series. Anyone who handles the series afterwards is going to still have access to the source code for the other games. Make a new addition and call it a new game just like the rest of the series.
I do have to admit that Forge World looks like a really cool addition.

Amazon shipping should arrive Tuesday afternoon so... I'll be sleeping in launch night.

This is how I feel about it as well. Do you think that this will actually happen for the legendary edition?

I'm not getting raped on the Legendary Edition again. I'm sure this time it actually will be hard to come by, but $50 or less or bust.

It's pretty fantastic. Much more reminiscent of Halo 1 and ODST than 2 and 3. Really feels like they crammed in everything they could think of (except the Spectre...)
I'm not too worried about the future of the series; Halo Wars was sweet, I Love Bees was amazing, and uh, Halo 2600 was pretty good, haha. Microsoft realizes that this is their cash cow, they've got former Bungie people and Halo fans running their 343 division dedicated to the series, and the Bungie story bible to make sure things flow properly. It should be alright.

I'll wait for a price drop. Never was a Halo fan...heck, I still haven't played the first Halo!

I came back from local electronic store and I saw Limited Edition sold more than the legendary edition. I still saw about 20 box of Legendary edition and only 3 limited edition left.

I'm still enjoying this game, both multiplayer and campaing. I'm on the last level of my solo legendary campaign(they call it legendary for a reason) and I'm still completing daily and weekly challenges. I can't wait for Swat and campaign matchmaking to go live(4 more days or so).
Bungie has definitely did a good job with their last Halo game and like the other ones this one will be continued to get played for years to come.
