Anybody else have one?

For those who don't know what it is: basically it's software that lets you store PS2 Saves on your PC.

I don't know why I need to save games on my PC as a backup (but it beats buying another memory card I think, since I can only play so many games at once anyway). What I'd really like to do is download saves with roster updates for games like Madden 2002. Anybody else doing this already? Interested in trying?

(I did find roster saves on EA's website, but their extension is different from the Xport extension so I'm not sure I want to experiment with them and muck up my memory card).

I don't have one of those, but I bought a SharkPort2 from Interact last year for my PS2. (I have a similar device for my PSX). One end plugs into a USB port in your PC and the other into a USB port in your PS2. You can download cheats, saves, and other files from online to your HD and then transfer them to your memory card, or copy/backup your memory card on your HD. It's compatiable with the X-Port. GameFAQ's is a great place to go for saves. I've beaten a few games with 'super' saves and backed up my PS2 memory card. Quit safe as long as you give the right command. :) Very helpfull.

X-Port is basically a PAL version of the Sharkport2, Differnt company but has the exact same function, personally I own a Sharkport2 and I use it very often to import/backup saves for WWE Smackdown:Shut Your Mouth, download and share saved created wrestlers

Not entirely true. Xport is a different version of Sharkport, but it's not PAL specific. Canada uses NTSC too ya know :)

As for availability: I got mine at Walmart for $40 Canadian. You can also get it straight from their website, codejunkies.com (it's $30 USD I believe).

So, any of you guys ever swap Madden 2002 save files?
