The thought just struck me, I have a complete SMS with the 3D Goggles and a couple of the compatible games but I also have an original Genesis model 1 and just thought maybe I could slim down my collection by adding a Power Base Converter?
If I can still use the 3D Goggles I might sell my SMS eventually............

I think it does, since the power base has the card input slot.

Well that's my assumption.......can anyone confirm?

If I remember right, the 3D adapter doesn't quite fit all the way in to the powerbase converter. I could be wrong though, because it has been a very long time since I have tried it, but I seem to remember it not working. Hope that helps.

Excellent. I may sell my SMS console at some point then.

I used the glasses on the PBC and had no problems with them.

Hope you don't like playing F-16 Fighting Falcon, as it's not compatible with the power base unit.

Exactly what I did, I sold my SMS years ago and kept the power base converter.
But I hear that the Power Base Converters are prone to have caps going bad in them.

Yeah SEGA used the lousy caps on those and Game Gears. There are a couple more SMS games that are incompatible with the Genesis, because it runs in one video mode only with SMS games.
