I just got this from an old friend for $35. He got it from someone who said it was from a Doctor's office. It has the standard CD-i power supply and controller which plug into the back. You turn the knob on top to lock the drive lid. The little black hole on the lid is for a key lock so the console can't be opened. It makes sense that it would come from a Doctor's office from the features. I can't find a thing on this thing at all, not even a mention of the name anywhere on the net. Anyone ever heard of these before? Obviously quite rare and I'm happy to own it.

Pretty neat. I've actually seen that particular model before and several others by other companies with slightly different designs. There was also a Patient Information System created using the Commodore Amiga CD32 that performed a similar function.

Does this have all the same functionality of a normal CD-i? If so, that's really cool and I'd say you got a steal of a deal.

Yeah normal functionality except for the locks on the lid.

That's really cool, but what does the stuff on top of it say? Something about what it was meant to be used for?

The stuff on top is a quick list of instructions on how to hook the console up. There's not much more on it unfortunately.

Looks like something that would have been used to play demo's or commercials in the Dr. Office waiting room. My wife has something similar in her waiting room, but it is powered by DVD.
