Are there controllers with longer ones, or an extension cable if that's my only option? I'm not too familiar with accessories for more niche systems.

As far as I am aware, there is not a first party controller with a longer cord. The cheapest extension solution that I have come across for the TurboDuo or the Pc Engine would be this: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10215&cs_id=1021501&p_id=534&seq=1&format=2

Ooh. I'll keep that in mind. I don't think it's a good idea to hunt down a Duo Tap, not likely to ever need multiplayer.

Seconding these. I have a couple and they work great. I'm pretty sure there were official extension cables, but they're rare and not worth the premium price when you can get these for <$2.

Had I known these were a standard item I wouldn't have ordered one from Turbo Zone Direct a few years back. I can't remember what they charged for them, but it certainly wasn't $2. D'oh! ^^;

Or you could just get the wireless Duo controllers if you could find em!

NCSX.com unearthed some boxed ones in their warehouse several months ago and I picked one up. It makes me want to find wireless upgrades for all my systems. :)
