You mean you went through all that a second time? (http://box422.bluehost.com/~videogc7/forum/showthread.php?t=142080) Was it easier?
Considering that was a few months ago, the ScrewAttack people should have seen it coming.

Lol.. Actually, we hadn't played the game ever since and the video we submitted and won the price with is that exact same one! However, Craig wanted us to prove that it was actually us playing the game and so we also had to make a hand-recorded video where u can see us playing the game.
The challenge re-inspired us though and we're now going through each stage, making notes of what we should improve and how. The plan is to make a suitable run for a new category on speeddemosarchive.com: Battletoads 2 player mode. Its fun but frustrating as well.

Thanks! We got one each unfortunately, which is kinda shit as we'll have to split the set of course. I don't think Craig really thought that true when he mentioned the challenge in his video as he probably didnt expect anyone to actually respond at all. Anyway, I'm glad 20.000 people saw the video this time, thats A LOT more views than on youtube!

Congratulations. Beating Battletoads, ESPECIALLY 2-player, is just sick. And I mean that in both a complimentary and negative way. It's sick great talent, and I think people have to be sick in the head to play Battletoads legit until you can beat it.

The master of Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy no lives lost here salutes you as Battletoads is much much more of an acheivement than that game. Nobody ever posted a lossless legit game system NES Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy video set before me, but I only really saw like 3 people excited about it.
Myself I like playing some of the Battletoads game on emulators, but I just couldn't get through the whole game on a real NES even with Game Genie Infinite lives. The Genesis port is a little bit easier most of the way through, but it's still pretty hard and still too hard for me.
Have you guys ever tried playing the Genesis version together? Maybe if you guys did that, GameTrailers would be impressed enough to send you a second copy of each?

Agreed. I have that version as well and the sound and gameplay mechanics are terrible, not to mention the superbright colours... The gameboy port is even a lot better, Battletoads in Ragnarok's World.

Fucked up controls, horrible colors, different levels, and unlike the NES version (which was hard but beatable) this port has no idea what "fair" is. It's a horrible excuse for a port.

odd. From what I heard and tried of it, the game is easier the the NES version with better controls for the cycle stage and fixed bugs.

Imo, the MD/Genesis version is indeed easier (and I think it was supposed to be). The bike stage is slower, you have a health bar at a lot of places where u don't in the NES version, etc.
But what Kitsune probably means, and I agree with him on that, is that the controls just feel very awkward (especially if you're used to the NES ones). Plus the game looks terrible - way too bright - and the music is terrible, for a Genesis game especially.

Well, I didn't hear anything, I experienced it first hand! I beat the Genesis version via emulation and god, that game just plain sucks. :(

I heard and experienced the same thing about the Genesis version... it is indeed easier. I mean, way way easier. 2nd stage is a prime example: it's so much easier to rack up lives than the NES version. 2nd stage probably has the most cheap deaths for me between the first 4 levels.

That is something I don't understand... Stage 2 has no randomness whatsoever and you don't even have to remember any patterns to make it through safely. Out of stage 1-4, stage 3 and 4 are generally considered a lot harder!

From what I remember seeing in videos, the Famicom one looks like the easiest. If I remember correctly, you can keep getting lives from a crows in that version, rather than just one like the US NES and Genesis versions. It might have been the Amiga version, though. That version looks really messed up.
