Hi guys. So I've been checking out info on kirby's epic yarn. I have never played a kirby game in my life but the trailer looks kind of cool. I cant quite tell if this is a solid platformer like new super mario bros or if its just a kids game. Maybe the look of the game is making me think its geared for kids. What do you Guy's think? Is this something a grownass man would want to play? Thanks

Look, Nintendo's target audience is always kids and families. Having said that, there is no rule against grown-ups and men enjoying their games. If you have no issues playing Mario games and the other Nintendo franchises, this game is no different.

Certainly not! Like most Nintendo games, it is for everybody.

I can't wait for this game. Sadly we in Europe are getting shafted once more as it has being delayed until January 2011.

This means it may clash with Zelda:SS for my time. Unless that gets delayed too.

*Is still annoyed whenever he thinks of the 6 month delay Brawl suffered*

For some reason this sounded rather erotic to me..... *shiver*

The people who asked this question are the same people who have never bought a game system before the Wii. Silly OP.

I will KILL to play this game once it comes to the store.

Wait...wrong topic...I thought this was the "Does video games something something violence" :p

But in all seriousness, I can't wait for this game. I have not preordered it, hoping Sears brings it in so I can use my employee discount. That, and because there are no preorder bonuses at GameStop.

It looks wicked awesome, though I wonder how it will control with the Wiimote.

Wasn't saying you were, it was just my way of saying "Derp, of course it's for everyone".

Although, this does reek of a targeted blue ocean tsunami right into Grandmas Sewing Circle.

What's the preorder bonus gonna be? A red hat?

More like Kirby's Epic Yawn.

(Of course, I kid. I wanted the game as soon as I saw it during Nintendo's E3 presser)

Definitely gonna be getting this. Always loved the Kirby series, and this new installment is a total refresh/revamp! The totally new game mechanics have me especially excited, I was surprised when I watched the entire E3 trailer and Kirby didn't inhale a bad guy once! The art style is amazing as well!

Actually, this game is going to deal with adult (http://kotaku.com/5647832/check-out-kirbys-epic--uh-) subjects. So this game is not for kids.

That was pretty funny.

If I owned a Wii I might have planned on purchasing this game. It looks good. Since I don't own a Wii I'll play it prior to picking it up though. I'm sure we'll never see a price drop by Nintendo, but I'll either pick it up on a really good sale or when and if it's being clearanced out.

If you buy it at Kmart this coming week, you get a coupon for $20 any other game purchase. You also get an additional $20 off of NSMB, Other M or S&P if you purchase at the same time as Kirby. Sure, you're still out $50, but that seems like a lot of additional savings down the road as well as on three excellent first party Wii games.

I played this for a couple of hours over the weekend....and...

WOW...Simply Wow. I honestly cannot remember the last time I've had this much 100% fun with a game. Sure, it's on the easy side (i havent played around with any options) but this is PURE Nintendo gaming genius.

Only reached the 3rd world but so far the gaeplay has been varied and I love the segment where Kirby transforms into a tank, car, etc.

Are the controls like New Super Mario Bros.?

The controls are similar but better IMO, there is a massiv lack of gimmicky motion controls ala NSMB Wii.

Well, bought it and played it for a few hours. The visuals are nice but the gameplay gets boring quickly. There really isn't much difference between the levels.

Your always just kind if doing the same thing without any increasing difficulty. There are the transformations here and there which are kind of fun at times.

The thing that really makes me cringe is the soundtrack. I cant stand the music! It reminds me of a really low budget cartoon or public access kids show. The whole game just feels kind of slow and monotonous. At least I got the $20.00 off the next game coupon with it and I can sell it on ebay for thirty bucks or so.

I'll admit, I was a bit dissapointed as well, for $56 wasn't really worth it. Way to easy, and very repetitive.

This game has been right up my alley. I've been highly enjoying it since release and am about half done, just playing casually. Actually, I prefer it to the Mario Galaxy games.

Oh, and I'm 31. By the way, the "Lava Landing" level on World 2 might just have the best video game music of all time.

I am 100% with you. Enjoying this much more than the SMG games. This is not overly complicated platforming FUN. And for the record: I'm... 32.
