Point and Click game help.

Trying to help someone figure out an old point and click game they played on DOS.Hoping someone in here could help out.What she told me was "I remember it was a first person point-and-click. You're in a house and can explore the shelves, drawers, etc...go into different rooms, including the basement. When you finally figure out how to get outside you use the knife you picked up with a reed from the grass to make a magical flute, that you play and are then whisked away to...somewhere else. I don't remember what happens after that.

Graphics were pretty much along the lines of Monkey Island and Loom"

I'd check out all of the Sierra games. It sort of sounds like King's Quest 3, but there's no magical flute that I remember. You just start as a slave to a magician, spend time in the house doing chores / learning spells, and then you finally are able to escape to the outside and begin your journey.
