NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.

Previously at NAVA...
- We fired up some multi-taps and played Poy Poy and Power Stone 2.
- Atari alumni Jerry Jessop stopped in for a surprise visit.
- The new NAVA logo and brand new t-shirts debuted!
- The Legend of Zelda's own "Link" was eaten.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.
- Pictures tell it best:

This month: It's the night before Halloween so we'll do a traditional NAVA costume thing. Come dressed up to the event and you can take 10% off of any used merchandise in the store! The THEME won't be completely traditional, however. The theme this time is HOCKEY. We'll have Sega CD NHL '94 - the greatest hockey game of all time - running with a 4-player setup. We'll also have NHL2k11 running for those of you who just don't get the retro vibe.

And at 6PM we'll mix Hockey and Halloween and have a MUTANT LEAGUE HOCKEY tournament. This will be a 2-on-2 game, so find yourself a partner earlier in the day. No fee to enter, we'll have a prize set up for the winning pair.

This month's arcade high score challenge will be "Chiller". Chiller is our first trak-ball game (technically it's a gun game, deal with it). The person who logs in the highest score by 8pm will get a $20 gift certificate for the Digital Press store and will be added to the new "house champion" tournament plaque on the Wall of Fame located just above the arcade section of the store. Get your practicing in now!

Get your trade boxes in order, it's NAVA time!

When: Saturday, October 30th, 3pm to midnight.
Where: Digital Press Videogames: http://tinyurl.com/yscakm
What happens: Gaming, trading, tournaments, big prizes! Extra game stations are set up around the store. Attendance is FREE. Half price for kids!
What can I bring?: Snacks, soda and beer are always appreciated. Cakes have been very popular as well.

I'm going to be missing this one. I don't think I've made a NAVA since August and it feels like it has been forever.

Ditto for me.

Missed last month, and will probably miss this month.

Last month I simply forgot (d'Oh!!!!), and this month I've got a family thing.

You guys are missing the launch of the new NAVA photo membership cards. Micky and Steve, you would have just been handed one automatically. Missing two NAVA's in a row though... hmm.
