I am taking a class on market research, and I have a video game related project. I have created a very brief survey (just 6 questions) and wondered if some (or all) of you could give me some feedback to assist me with my information collection.

Here is a link to the survey.

If this is placed in the wrong spot, and I apologize.

So what's the association with this Kongregate place and your class?

Your name is based off the tv series, not the video game.

I know the reference. You can't say the game isn't based on the show.

Do you like people who tell you what your handle is all about? I suppose I was a little annoyed.

But the game isn't based on the show.

The dot in Gun.Smoke is written because of trademark issues, as the name Gunsmoke refers to a famous and long running American Western Radio and TV show which ran in various forms from 1951 until 1975, and was the longest running entertainment series with continuous characters in the history of American television. Other than the western theme, the TV show and the game are unrelated to each other.

I know that they changed the title to gun.smoke for trademark purposes. I don't take a lot of stock in things I read in Wikipedia form. The formats and character names aren't the same. Just the genre. I like them both. :D

He's saying that in reply to kupomogli so it's completely acceptable.

What a great song, and what a great album.

@Gunsmoke: Wikipedia isn't so bad; just corroborate what they say if you are distrustful.

Never played the game, but it looks like Ikari Warriors a little (quick Google images search). Is it worth picking up?

@OP: What made you do your market research on this Kongregate site? Did your have to chose a site, or did your Prof give you one? Do they know you are using them (not that it really matters I am sure)? What type of statistical analysis will you be doing?

Well, This got a bit off topic. To answer the two questions.

1. What is the correlation between Kongregate and my class?
Well honestly, we just had to come up with a problem definition and/or an opportunity and present our findings to the class. Our group consists of some gamers, all of which use XBOX Live as well as some that use Kongregate. So we said "What if Kongregate was added to XBOX Live?" Xbox has been adding so much other stuff as of late (ie Netflix, FaceBook, ESPN, Last FM, etc.) we are researching whether or not adding thousands of free games for users to play would be an accepted addition.
That is really all we are doing, just research.

2. SPAM?
I guess if you consider one gamer asking for other gamers input SPAM, then yes I guess it is. I just want feedback to help me with my class, if you don't want to help NO BIG DEAL, just don't take it. But if you want to help out a fellow gamer then take it, its only like 6 questions long.
