Better "beat-em-up" series

Which you think is the better beat-emup series, or your favorite: the Fightal Fight trilogy or the Streets of Rage trilogy?

Final Fight....always. SOR III didn't do anything for me and the first doesn't look all that great. Final Fight has all the memorable characters, huge, brilliant graphics, and if it wasn't for Final Fight, there wouldn't be SOR. Of course, if there was no DD, there would be no Final Fight.....

Final Fight forever!!!...Streets of rage series aren´t bad, but Final Fight have better graphics, an excellent arcade version and cool characters and enemies...

Tenchi Wo Kurau (Dynasty Wars) series
and
Dungeons & Dragons Capcom series

Rage may not have had the glammer Final Fight had, but I actually enjoy it a bit more, hard to say why.

I really don't think the fun factor between the two games are that different, but I have spent more time with the Final Fight series, so that gets my vote.

Definately Streets of Rage 1-3 on the Genesis, I love the hummable background music in the original!

I voted for Streets of Rage, which I have always liked more than Final Fight. SOR2 in particular because it has more moves and reasons to use those moves. Yuzo Koshiro's tunes complete the package. I was just playing SOR and SOR2 last night in fact. Great games, all 3 of them.

Streets of Rage here. I never owned a Sega console until the Dreamcast, but I played the hell outta SoR at a buddies house. It was a blast every single time.

Streets of Rage. Hands down. So much more fun, yellow coated enemies that I first thought were aliens, and those kickass specials with a bazooka and missile launcher (wasn't it a launcher?) made it the better series. That and it was the first series that I beat all three games of (with my cousin).

Dungeons & Dragons Capcom series

Tower of Doom was the first game I got on CPS2, I will get Shadow Over Mystara at some point as well.

Besides that, River City Ransom is better than both SoR and Final Fight.

I´ve voted for Final Fight.
It´s the graphics that do it for me. 2D-Beat´em´Ups are in IMO a lot about good looks, and you get those on SNES rather than on the Genesis. Although my favourite version is Final Fight CD (SegaCD).

Streets Of Rage for me. So many memories. I prefer the second one out of the three. I was never a huge fan of the Final Fight series. I play FF more now than I did back in the day.

As a whole trilogy, I'd put my vote towards Streets of Rage. I haven't even played FF3. FF2 was okay, but couldn't match up to the original. However, I loved every SoR game, even 3.

Nekketsu Oyako on the Saturn was almost as good minus the slowdown. They also had Tenchi Wo Kurau 2 which is another blatant Final Fight rip off.

I have never enjoyed Final Fight as much as SOR. I had a genesis as one of my main systems when I was younger and streets of rage 2 is probably one of my favorites all time games on that system. Nothing is better than watching some gimp with a knife held out charge you and then cracking him right in the FACE with a crowbar.
