Pinball FX2

We had a nice following of people playing the Williams Arcade Pinball, I am hoping we can do so with Pinball FX2. It has been nicely done. You can play the original tables as well as the DLC in this new platform. There are also some new tables. Also there are new achievements with this platform. The platform is free, a new pack of 4 tables is 800. The new platform allows another 600 points in achievements at this time.

Unlike Williams Arcade we can compare our friends highscores in leaderboards now as well. However with a new twist, there are some cool avatar unlocks that you will need your friends help with as they are hard to get otherwise. Basically you have a super score that is 1 point for every million of your highscores on each table. This is added to your friends superscores, and multiplied by the number of tables you own. The final awards are at 100K.

So anyone who is interested in trying to get these, leave your 360 GT and I will add you as a friend, or shoot me a pm, and lets try to get these. At 100K its a cool wizard robe.

Add me (Norkusa). Huge pinball fan here. I've only got 2 people on my friends list that own it so far (Meancode & petewhitley I think) and would like to have a few more. I'm always checking the scores and trying to move up on the boards.

So far I only have the Pinball FX2 core pack with the 4 new tables. What other tables are good? I tried the demo of the Street Fighter 2 table but hated it. Seemed real bland and didn't have a lot going on in the playfield. I remember the 4 original Pinball FX tables being similar as well.

I really love these 4 new FX2 tables though. The themes are fun and you can tell a lot of time when into designing them. They seem something like Gottlieb or Williams would make.

I will add you later today when I get back on. If you like the new tables, try the demos for Earth Defense and Excalibur, lots of different things in those to try to do, I think you will like those. Too bad it doesn't port scores from the old tables as well. My super/wizard scores would be so so much higher. I own all of the tables, there are 13 currently. I was wrong about acievements, I show 650, if anyone is different I assume 50 points per table you have.

There are 4 new tables as well tomorrow, from Marvel Capcom, they look good, I will be getting all 4.

Did anyone take part in the SoTD tourney, I thought that was pretty cool, nice that you didn't have to have Gold to participate. Good way to boost the Superscore. Lets hope the next tourney isn't too far away.

I got sick of the new FX2 tables pretty quick, so I haven't played in a few weeks. The new Marvel table pack looks incredible though, so I'm definitely getting that.

They come out today, right? Anyone get them yet? Wondering if they play as good as they look.

The tourney is on the last row of options at the bottom of the screen, third from the left I think.

DL'd the Marvel tables yesterday and they are great. Can't say I like the reverse controls in Spider Man. My favorite has to be Iron Man. It feels like a Stern table to me.

Yeah, I don't know about those reverse controls either in Spider Man. I just flipped my controller upside down though and played it like that.

Love the new tables though. Like them much more than the last batch of FX2 tables. The only one I don't care for is Blade. I thought it was too hard to see the playfield during that Night Mode or whatever it was called. Also, I keep hitting the tip of that upper-right flipper with my ball. After that happens, it usually shoots back down to me quickly and I loose my ball.

Anybody got any tips for the Blade table? I can't break 11 million and it's driving me crazy.

I haven't played Blade, but one of my friends who's an ace at the game said there was a way you can cheat sidelane drains by raising the respective bumper and nudging the table right before the ball drains to get it to pop up to the opposite bumper. I've tried to do it, but I just can't get a handle on it.

Yeah, those lanes always kill me too. I'm always using nudge on Hall Of Fame but I rarely use it on PFX2. Guess it's because you always get a tilt warning no matter how lightly you nudge the table. So it scares me off from using it.

After that last post though, I gave Blade another try. First game played I got 22 million, lol. I just kept nailing those orbits when they were lit and got like 3 multiballs in one turn.

The way I play on Blade, I doubt that's going to happen again any time soon so I think I can officially retire it from my lineup. I hate that table anyway.

Hey everyone, there is a new tournament up for Bio Lab.

Feel like I just got hosed, and this has happened twice. In the zero gravity mission, 2 balls left, I hit the target to complete at the nose of the space ship, and at the same time a ball drains, well the ball that hits the target was considered gone as I completed the mission and then it is ball out, I lost the ball when there was 2.

In this game in particular, it was first ball with a score of 120 million and a ten time multiplier. I missed my game record by 10 million at the end of the game..... I feel cheated I feel like I had a legit chance to increase it....
