126k is my best. I got thru the 4th elevator. To this day I have such trouble figuring out the elevators. Seems I have to get lucky still but im running away with the rest of the boards. Any advice would be great.

About the same as you.. around 130k. And I've stayed there pretty consistently over the past 20 years :p

97,000 is about my maximum. I've only made it past the 3rd elevators once. A few months ago a guy over at KLOV did a video on how to pass this.

Hope it helps.

71700 is my best score in that game. Now that Pinball Pete's has a machine again, I'm hoping to work my way back up past that point.

I think back in the day my best score was around 100K... I knew people who were much better than that.

I do find it kind of interesting though that all the high scores for DK use the American version.

I wonder how much of an impact it would be if players played the original Japanese version of Donkey Kong (with repeating 1-2-3-4 level progression).

You figure it would have an impact because you would get an extra two stages in Level 1, an extra stage in level 2, and also you would not get two ramp levels in the higher levels. Just food for thought. :)

My highest score was 188,500. I just can't seem to improve though and once I"m at the 3rd elevator stage all bets are off. I can average high 80-100k scores but can't seem to do better unless I get on a run.

I would have to check out a book I have that showed strategies of the video games back in the day because it had a chart where you would put down the high scores you got in the games that were shown... I think that book was written back in 1982.

128,400 is my high score... I own a machine and don't play it as much as I would like... Great machine to have around...

Thanks for the video. I knew there was a trick, but couldnt remember it.

My high score is in the high 120,000's. I am going to have to see if that video helps. I play on my MsPacMan cocktail table that got upgraded to a 40in1 machine a few years back. I love that machine.

I think my highest score was 90,000 or so... if I practiced I could top 100,000... but I am having too much fun beating the hell out of RBI Baseball instead... oh yeah and playing Treasure of Tarmin

I Have a MAME high score of 593k. I have an arcade high score of 538,200 with hopes of achieving a DK kill screen by the end of the year. I try to get in a game a day but it's rough with my twin sons being young and finding time to play is pretty hard with my work week.

Here is a way better video explaining the third elevator level. That seems to be where we all are getting stuck.

I just recently got a high score on arcade of 771,200. I point pressed a game the other day and had 130k at the end of level 4. Anyone else point press a lot? I am editing the video of the 130k run right now and will have it on youtube soon.

My highest score, which was certified at an event in April is 35,800 on Aurcade (http://www.aurcade.com/default.aspx). It's nothing special, but as a game I don't play often I get a little better each time.
