Hello to the forum goers. I saw that there are a lot of enthusiasts here so I thought you might be able to help me. I've looked everywhere but have come up empty. I'm looking for a resource that gives a description or info on the different components of a packaged SNES. I came across this set recently and it was pretty much complete except for a few of the inserts and Super Mario World. I was wanting to put this together as a complete set so any insight would be helpful. Thanks for looking and I've been enjoying the forum.

When I first opened it I though it might be brand new as all of the plastic wrapping looked to be included as well as the instructions/poster. I also liked that it was a bundle from Target that I had never seen before.

Unfortunately I realized that the inserts for the free Nintendo Club membership were missing as well as the free issue of Nintendo Power touted on the box cover. Also missing was the included copy of Super Mario World.

What was included though is pretty cool and full of geek. There is a controller paddle that appears to have been unopened and never used.

Also when I compared it's condition to my girlfriends childhood SNES the difference is pretty remarkable. (The boxed one is obviously the one on the left)

What seems to be the coolest part of it though is that the original receipt is included with a completely filled out coupon for a free copy of Super Mario All-Stars that was never actually sent out. I would love to try and redeem it and see what Nintendo would say.

I have that same bundle (but not from Target, so no Nintendo Power inside) and it looks like you're missing some paperwork. The hookup instruction sheet you have should be in a plastic bag along with:

Console Instruction Manual
Super Mario World Instruction Manual
Consumer Information and Precautions Booklet
Nintendo Power Advertisement with Subscription Envelope

At least that's what mine came with anyway...

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I gotta hunt that stuff down.

Knowing Nintendo, there's a pretty good chance they'd send you the new 25th anniversary compilation for Wii.

Yeah, I actually thought about this... but I think the receipt is worth more if it's kept with the set.

I wonder if that credit card number on the receipt is still active. It is a little weird to me to think that they'd put stuff like that on a receipt, but I guess in the early 90s no one cared.
