NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. This is a FREE event bringing gamers together for competition, trading, and chatter.
Previously at NAVA...
- Knife-wielding homicidal maniacs and hockey players invaded the store for Halloween.
- Mutant League Hockey tournament players ultimately fell to Team RamRod, whose slogan is "You've been RAMMED".
- There was cake.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.
- Pictures tell it best:

This month: IT'S THE FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY (to the day) OF THE DIGITAL PRESS STORE. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. That is all.
We will load the shelves with all kinds of new things that we've been holding out on in anticipation of this day. Seriously, you need to come. We'll do some kind of tournament at 6pm and we'll have some kind of arcade challenge as always but ultimately we just want to have everyone together to reminisce and better still, kick off the next five years in style!
Get your trade boxes in order, it's NAVA time!
When: Saturday, November 27th, 3pm to midnight.
Where: Digital Press Videogames: http://tinyurl.com/yscakm
What happens: Gaming, trading, tournaments, big prizes! Extra game stations are set up around the store. Attendance is FREE. Half price for kids!
What can I bring?: Snacks, soda and beer are always appreciated. Cakes have been very popular as well.

It's already on my calendar.
For bleeding-heart liberal little old me, that's pretty much 'locked and loaded'.

It's been too long since I've been, but can't make it this month either. It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years. Have fun everyone.

I'm lkg for a wall-mount for a 50" TV, and also some HDMI, component, and Gamecube component cables.
I want to have them by this weekend at the latest. Before ordering I thought I'd put out the call to the NAVA-folk.
Let me know ASAP if you have any of the above and might want to unload it this weekend at NAVA.
Thanks.

I've got HDMI cables and component cables for *some* systems. I might have one for GameCube but it will be pricey (about $30-40 if memory serves), they weren't released in the US!

They weren't released at retail, but I bought mine through nintendo.com. ;-)

"Tis was a great day yesterday.....
But, why should I say anything.....when I've got Videos and Pictures to tell it all!
Here's what I know about yesterday in brief:
-There were a lot of boxed systems.
-There were a few rarities
-There were quite a few uncommons mixed in with everything else
-A video camera works on Mike like a cross works on Dracula
-Someone in the United States actually OWNS a Panasonic Q
-Random Retro Tournaments are challenging as well as exciting.
-One man's doubles is another man's goldmine
-Daria is cool under fire(I felt bad for her. She was working her ass off yesterday)
-Going with the above, Joe has a TRUCKLOAD of new stuff for the store
-Pixel Art CAN be made into paintings..and they are the best work EVER!

Penitence is something that enervates our spirit, causing a greater loss than loss itself and making a bigger mistake than mistake itself, so never regret.
