My favorite Vic-20 game I played when I was a kid : GALAXIA
I never see Vic-20 GALAXIA in the internet.
I lost my original TAPE so I can't replay this great game.

I've never seen the VIC-20 in action. Where can I go to see some screenshots?

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE, "Top 20 Vic-20 Games" THREAD!

*Ahem*

I propose that Rat Hotel be removed
and Serpentine be added.

I just played Serpentine for the first time and I was really impressed, especially for a game from Creative, the people who brought us crap like, say, Rat Hotel. ;) Actually Rat Hotel isn't bad so if you wanted to remove something else that would work.

I always liked Tank vs. UFO... it was a game that had the code in the official programming guide.

Bumping because the Vic needs more love.

Defender should be on there. It's an abnormally good port, arguably the best home version back then. Donkey Kong is ugly but plays well. Q*bert's a fine port too.

I agree with Keir on Serpentine. It's better than the Atari 8-bit original and C64 port.

Q*bert's a fine port too.
No, I find it awful. Colour-clashes galore.

Personally I like the Atarisoft games; mainly Pole Position and Jungle Hunt which did a good job getting a lot out of the VIC-20. One technically less impressive but very fun game to me is Metagalactic Llamas (Llamasoft, unexpanded tape).

Though it wasn't stated, I believe this is list is only for cartridge games.

I just noticed that there isn't a single Scott Adams' text adventure on the list! For shame! Not sure which one to nominate. I always liked Pirate's Cove. Arrrrr

As for what to remove, I still say Rat Hotel. :P Either that or Tutankham.

Sweet thread. Vic 20 was my first gaming system...must pick one up and get serious dose of flashbacks...
