My wife and I are leaving for our honeymoon this Saturday, to spend a week at Disney World.

I found a list on their website of where the different arcades are (Including one at our hotel :D) but I wanted to see if anyone could suggest which arcades in the parks are the best.

Thanks!

My wife & I spent our honeymoon there 3 years ago and we had a great time (it's surprisingly a fun place for adults). The only arcade I visited was in Tommorowland. It had a good amount of games (150+) and around 15 pinball machines (not all of them were Stern either).

There's a decent hotel arcade, mostly modern stuff (a lot of large-size games, DDRs, Driving Cabinets, etc.) and prize ticket redemption game machines at the All-Star Movies resort.

If memory serves I believe it's a Namco Amusements run establishment that uses token "cards" (re-fillable credit cards).

The All-Star resorts probably all have similar arcades, are you staying in one of those?

I am, although I can't remember if it's Music or Movies.

I doubt I'll get alot of time to check out the arcades, what with all the rides we want to check out, but if I do I want to do the good ones :)

Any idea where I could find a list for each arcade of what they have?

Not sure about that, though there might be a list out there somewhere.

Found a list for some of the classics at ArcadeLocations.net It's a start :) If anything I'll have to make a report when I get back.

There's the Tomorrowland arcade. Pretty good, with the best machines IMO being the After Burner Climax sitdown and the Robotron/Joust cabinet. That, and the music isn't always the expected Disney pop drivel, which helps.

Also, there's none in Saratoga Springs (stayed there at WDW in October- friggin' nice) as far as I know.

I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside when I was there in March, they had decent little arcade there with redemption games, some arcade stuff, and a few pinballs. Not bad for an arcade attached to the resort.

I once stayed in All Star Movies. They had a pretty nice arcade with a great selection.I got my ass kicked on Guitar Hero so I stuck mostly to Donkey Kong and Galaga.
Like the others said, Tomorrowland I think is the best. It's there right when you get off Space Mountain.

Funny story, I drug my wife in there right after Space Mountain to see what games were in there. In the far back corner was Stitch of Lilo and Stitch fame. I was going to just a picture, but Stitch went nuts and grabbed me and wife. His little body guard asked him if he wanted to play a game. He did, but all the 3/4-player games were being used. My wife said she didn't mind if I played she'd sit it out.
He couldn't find a game so I picked Mario Kart AC. I chose Mario, he chose Bowser.
I don't know who was in that costume, but he/she was GOOD. I came in 2nd, Stitch came in 3rd.
My brother-in-law said he would never let me live down losing to some one who could barely see the screen in a huge costume.
On second thought, maybe I just suck...

DisneyQuest is the BEST arcade in Disney World, hands-down. If you have a park hopper pass, you get in for free (It counts as a park) and it's simply the best arcade out there. When I went there my brother and I probably found it to be one of the best aspects of Disney World in general, haha.

Out of the 5 floors, there are about 2 floors of classic games (Mostly 80s, some 90s) including some real favorites, like Tron, Discs of Tron, NBA Jam, Jr. Pac-Man, Marble Madness, Donkey Kong, Joust, Centipede, a couple Ultracade cabs. There was a really nice selection of games. And the best part is that it's all on free-play!

Definitely go there if you're looking for arcade action. Don't go anywhere else.

Oooooo, thanks! We do have a park hopper pass! My wife will love to play Marble Madness too, so it's win-win!

No problem! Just to clarify though, it's located in Downtown Disney, and not any of the parks. You have to take two buses instead of one to get there, one to Century Resort I believe, and then the bus to Downtown Disney.

Tomorrowland Arcade is OK, but the games are kind of expensive. After Burner Climax seems to be a staple in pretty much all of the smaller Disney World arcades, as well as Defender/Defender II or Defender/Joust, something like that. I also remember seeing a lot of Outrun 2 and Basketball games.

Also, There actually is an arcade in Saratoga Springs, I just stayed there. Right next to where the is pool is located in fact.

*sigh*

I really miss the SEGA arcade in Innovations. I mean... granted the Genesis is obsolete technology but that building was fucking awesome.

DAMMIT, I remember walking by DisneyQuest and wondering what the heck it was. It never occurred to me it could be that!

>_> Err at least I got that great meal at Earl of Sandwich...
