Beethoven's Second Game Boy (NTSC US)

There is very very very little information on the US version of Beethoven's Second for the Game Boy, and what information I have gathered seems to be incorrect... specificially the date stating that the game was released in 1991, which is wrong! The game had to have been released in 1994 or after since it uses Super Game Boy features. Does anyone have any information on the US version of the game, or where it can be obtained? I checked the obvious places.

-Game was produced, a ROM exists.
-Was renamed to just "Beethoven"
-Never made it onto a retail cart in the US
-Europe might have gotten a cart release
-Prototype boxes exist, I know because I own one. (Rare as fuck.)

Well I just recieved the German version for less than 20 bucks loose in excellent condition. This seems to be incredibly rare as well since I've never even seen any version on Ebay.
