Broken 3D0 light gun... Please help

I heard a little rattle inside the American Gamegun 3do light gun. Opened it and found a small spring was loose and floating. Is anyone familiar with these lightguns? Please help.

If anything, check the trigger and the molding behind it. Interact's light guns use to have a spring attached via itty bitty pegs on the back of the trigger to a small peg inside the housing.

Anybody ever open a 3do gun? Just need to know how that spring connects.
