So.....

One of my fondest 8 bit nintendo game memories from my childhood was of T&C surf designs. I knew 100% when I started collecting again that once I came across a copy it would be mine. Its not a rare game by any means but its not exactly mario/duckhunt either.

Today I found one....

I saw that label a mile away!!! I picked it up inspecting its condition (pretty minty lol) and a bargin at 2.99!!! Then I spot it...

That dreaded rainbow of doom that it seems everyone just loves to hate...
Yes it was a LJN game...

Well, some youtube reviewers and game snobs were not gonna keep me from my childhood memory. I bought took it home and played it...AND GOD DAM IT ITS A GOOD GAME!!!:rocker:

Lookin at my collection I own 4 ljn games... T&C , RAW snes , Terminator arcade snes and Maximum carnage snes. I like them all.

Lets face it ljn is no capcom or konami but is there any games they made you really like?

BTW-just to not make the his an "I love ljn" thread I freekin hated wolverine adamantium rage on the snes... It was by far one of the worst games I ever played and is a perfect example of why ljn got the bad name that it does!!!:bad-words:

LJN wasn't that bad...I always considered THQ to be worse.

Crash Test Dummies on NES was actually a somewhat decent platformer...much better than the SMS counterpart.

Glad you found the game! :)

It's a fun and well made game. I still play it every now and then:) What ever you do though DON'T play the second one. It's nothing like the first (it's a level based platformer) and is complete junk.

Not everything LJN produced was completely terrible, but they simply can't be forgiven for their mishandling of Marvel Comics licenses. I still can remember what a kick in the nuts it was to find that two of my favorite things, X-Men and NES, had been combined but the execution was so bad it was painful to play.

I enjoyed T&C. I also did have fun with the Friday the 13th game too shockingly enough.

Chalk up another positive vote for Crash Test Dummies on the Nes. I LOVED Thrilla's Safari though. Great level designs, wide variety of spontaneous villains, a funny storyline that incorporates most of the characters from the first game and a lot of secrets. I just couldn't get into the first one very much. I liked the summer time vibe though.

I'm actually a fan of the friday the 13th game on the nes. I played it when I was a kid and it used to scare the crap out of me everytime Jason showed up. It got to the point where I would ignore the alarm everytime and went it off and walked in the opposite direction of the cabin that Jason was attacking.

Lol, I did the same thing when I was younger. Great game but even today I probably still couldn't save all the kids. That game was tough.

T+C Surf Designs is an underrated classic. It's just a racing game. People immediately think it's garbage because of the other LJN games.

The only gripe I had with the game was that it was too repetitive, but other than that, it's probably the best game LJN released on the NES.

Well played, sir.

Put me in the enjoying T&C camp, got it on my 8th birthday and loved it! Although I'm actually surprised to see it was an LJN title. Who knew?

LJN isn't all bad, but even their best games aren't great.

T&C was a pretty fun game and not every LJN game was total garbage. I quite like Nightmare On Elm Street for NES.

I agree that not all LJN games are bad. Granted, I never did like T&C, in fact I think it's garbage. However I love Maximum Carnage one the SNES and Genesis. It's one of my favorite games on those consoles. I still play through it at least once a year. Also you gotta love that sexy red cart lol.

T&C seems pretty fun, as were a few other LJN games. I always preferred T&C2, but it never gets much attention either.

I enjoyed T&C as a kid, but haven't played it since to test my nostalgia. I'll have to pick it up now and see if I still get the kind of entertainment out of it that the topic starter has..

If only I had $2 :shameful:

I am one of those who also enjoy Friday the 13th… I remember my aunt getting me the game when I was young, and I played a whole lot of it… never thought it was a bad game and was a bit surprised to hear on the internets of it being regarded as a poor game…

and another LJN title I enjoy, Jaws…
it's a fun game and the music is great. the only draw back is that once you get a handle of the game and understand what to do, the game becomes very easy and SHORT! I can conquer it in under 10 minutes and that's not speed running it…
