Hey Guys im looking at buying some gear from the UK, the seller isnt a collector and im trying ot get help with shipping options.

The package is around 5 - 8 kg, average sized box. I cant find any shipping options from royal mail that are suitable, they seem to limit everything to 5 kgs.

Can any guys from the UK point me to a reference on shipping packages overseas cheaply.

Cheers

Worst case 8kg

Economy (up to 2 months): £54
Standard (5-9 days): £64
Datapost (5 days): £99

Best case 5kg

Economy: £41
Standard: £49
Datapost: £80

Goto http://www.parcelforce.co.uk (or as I call them sometimes Parcelfarce) and click the link "Price Deliveries" up the top bar. You can then put in the details and get the postage cost out...

Parcel Farce is probably the best name ... they have broken countless packages of mine. I had to buy 3 Mega CD consoles before I had one shipped that didn't get trashed on the way. Most recently they broke a White Saturn that I sold to someone. I did get compensation for all of them in the end, but I still recommend avoiding them if at all possible.

When I sold a big lot recently, I actually used Amtrak Express Parcels, and they were excellent, and also a lot cheaper than Parcel Force. That was within the UK, but I presume they do overseas as well, since they are an American company. Try checking them out. They will also collect packages from within the UK for an additional £5, to save you having to go to their depot! :D
