We all know of the evils of Gamestop's pricing and store credits, but what are some of your best finds or deals there?

My best one ever is actually my most recent.

Suikoden III
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter
Xenosaga

Total: $58.08

All complete, all scratch free. Hell, Xenosaga was one of their 'new-used' ones. It was still sealed.

The employees at the GameStops near me always clear out the good deals on post-SNES systems before I have a chance. The best deal I've ever gotten was 2 Ken Griffey, Jr's Winning Run Demo Cartridges for $3.99 each.

I worked at a GameStop for a bit, and got a few cheap games and such. But i think my 3 bests:

1. NES Tecmo World Cup proto/review cart = US$3

2. Boxed Sega Saturn Virtual On Twinsticks (with Sat-to-DC adaptor)= US$17

3. PS2 Gradius 3&4, after trade in of a promo PS2 game I got= US$1.29

Pretty good if you ask me :)

Well, since Babbage's is now GameStop, I'd have to say Half-Life.

Or I could mention getting that N64 cartridge holder thing for $10, that was pretty nice. Filled it right up with all those crappy sports games I managed to get when a friend sold me his extra N64. Heh.

I happened to have found that exact thing about a month ago for the same price. Coolest part was when I opened up the box, it had a bunch of other NES game manuals stuffed inside with the Encyclopedia and game!! Most notably, I got manuals to Mega Man 4, and Zelda maps!!

Some of you may think I'm the devil for doing this, but I found a minty complete Chrono Trigger for $25.00. Turned around and sold the box and posters (but not the game or manual) for $30. Made $5 and kept the game to play.

Probably my best scores so far.

I got a factory sealed Rad Racer for NES for a paltry $1.99 BEFORE my discount.

That's were I buy most of my stuff anyway, so singling out individual finds is tough.

But I believe the above find is my "crown" jewel, so-to-speak.

And shortly after klimatron was there, I hit the same store to pick through his leftovers....

Phantasy Star III, Landstalker, Exile, etc etc. All complete. Awesome Gamestop score.

Other Gamestop scores include sealed Saturn games for $1.99 after they stopped selling them (Duke 3D, Dark Legend, etc) and a free Mega Man X3 after trading in a pair of old NES toasters.

Remind yourself to ask who that guy was; I need to beat some sense into him.

I mean,

HOLY CRAP.

I was in my local gamestop checking out the used gaming stuff and noticed a sega nomad with ac adapter for $30! They didn't have any sega games to test it out so i picked up a used sonic 3 at another place that sells used video games. The next day with sonic 3 in hand I went to test and hopefully purchase the nomad... IT WAS GONE!!!

>:(

Well at least i have my nomad but it cost me much more than $30! :-D

i got lucky finding that complete NES game months ago. The new Gamestop by me has completes of Tetris 2 for SNES (2 copies), Space Invaders for SNES (2 copies) and Super Star Wars, which are all still there. They once had 2 completes of Genesis 6-pak as well when they first opened.
