Does anyone know for sure who published and developed Shockman? The packaging, manual, and game itself aren't entirely clear. NCS is listed prominently on the packaging and at the title screen, but various other sources site NEC or TTI as the publisher, NCS as the publisher and developer, Works as the developer, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know who developed it, but you just reminded me that I haven't played this game in ages. I'm going to have to pop it in the TG16 within the next few days. Thanks! LOL

Not as good as Mega Man, but kinda similar, plus some side-scrolling shooter action.

There were hardly any third-party publishers for the TG-16 in North America. Only one comes to mind, Radiance Software, whose only game was the U.S. port of Side Arms.

As such, I'm prety sure NEC/TTI was the publisher and NCS was the developer. They developed tons of PC-Engine games.

Thanks for the info--I was leaning toward TTI.

The only company listed for the Japanese title screen is NCS(Masiya). They probably published the game in Japan as well developed it. If I remember right, the game came out when TTi was formed and took over NEC's role.
