I figured it's time I join the digital age in this one regard, so I've begun the hunt for a serviceable television to replace my grand ol' CRT.

My motto for bargain-hunting has always been: "fast, cheap, or in good condition: pick two". Since the elusive, rarely-witnessed combination of all three cannot be relied upon, I have settled for the last two qualities.

I'm not really all that concerned with size, though 25" or higher would be preferable. I figure it's finally time for me to "upgrade" from my current 19" CRT and join the civilized world.

CONDENSED:

Size: 25" or higher preferred (will buy smaller if the price is right and I like you)
Condition: New or used, and a small handful of dead pixels hardly matters
Price: Cheap, yo. I may be back on my feet, but I'm not a wealthy man and must budget.
Shipping: If I can't drive to you (which is likely if you don't live somewhere near central MO), we can work out shipping costs

PM me, please!

If you know anyone who works at retail, you could opt to ask them to check for specials that usually associates dive into. At work, I purchased my two LCD TV's because they were cheap at the time, the latest being a Sony Bravia 32" LCD 720p...new...for $240 plus tax (without my discount).

Also, PLEASE don't discard the old CRT! Specially if it's in great working condition. I cry every time I imagine a customer discarding a perfectly good TV just because they want to upgrade. Those TV's are great for good 'ol classics! :)

Oh, I plan to hang on to the old CRT, definitely. I don't trust technological advances, so I still have my books on smoke signals and Morse code!
