YM copy of gyruss for the NEs has white dots all over the game. I've cleaned the cartridge connectors and still have no idea what's causing this.

Could be a connection problem. Maybe the NES pin connector is dirty?

Impossible. All the other NES games I have work fine on the same NEs and I have a 20 game library.

Clean the game some more. Even if everything looks immaculate. that does not necessarily mean it is clean enough. I like to use Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner as it removes a lot more dirt than alcohol. Just be careful not to rub it on the green protective coating as it will remove it.

As was said, keep cleaning it. The NES release of Gyruss is well worth the trouble. I love that game (http://www.classicplastic.net/dvgi/publications-RTMnescadeGyruss.html).

Wow, I've seen a copy of Gyruss with this problem, too. Keep cleaning it, eh? I have a Famicom game that exhibits a similar problem.. it's just not as severe. Hmm...

You must have found the ultra-rare winter snow edition of Gyruss.

Sweet.
