Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to read and leave an opinion.

I've decided to sell all my collection and wondered if some stuff is even worth advertising and whether or not to sell as job lot/collections.

Let's start by saying i don't beleive there are any rare items in any of my collections, probably just scarce.

I'm in the UK where 8 bit computers were very popular through the 80's so i have a ton of software but is it worth anything to anyone but me? I've probably got 200+ (maybe more) games for each of the following; spectrum, commodore 64, amiga, atari st and amstrad. Would i be best off splitting into smaller sales or do you think there would be someone happy to collect boxes of the stuff or pay for postage?

Next i have collections of megadrive (380), master system (250), snes (130), n64 (120) etc. Would i actually find anyone prepared to pay reasonable money for them. My thinking is that it would be great for a noob collector but how many of them are around? Would a seasoned collector realy be interested in buying possibly an enormous amount of doubles.

What would i do with endless boxes of random peripherals, is there a market for joysticks, steering wheels etc.

Thanks guys.

There is a market for everything that you have listed. I think the best thing would be to make a bunch of small lots for the common items and sell the more rare/scarce stuff seperate. As for the joysticks/peripherals, just sell them in lots.

I would do bundles within systems (all the platformers together, or all the series together), or just put prices for everything but state you have to buy over a certain amount (that way the buyers can make their own bundles).

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I've started sorting it today and what a daunting task it is. For my 8bit computer stuff I've decided to sell in lots, basically what i can fit in a box to ship. So roughly 60-70 games per box.

At least the hardwares a lot easier to sell.
