I decided last night to check out what was available in terms of fan translations for the NDS and ended up playing a bit of Tales of Innocence and...Soma Bringer. After 15 mins the clearest thought I had in mind, apart from "OMFG this is amazing", was that I NEEDED to log onto the forums and share my love - and hopefully get peoples' eyes up to this game.

Anyone else who has played it? This is (I'm only an hour or so into the game) so far one of THE most enjoyable gaming experiences I've had for absolutely AGES.

Anyone who loves a good action RPG a la Secret of Mana, etc NEEDS to check this out. I'd rather not provide direct links to the translation but you shouldn't have any problems finding it.

Let's get the discussion going!

Looks pretty interesting, one of these days I'll have to get a card to try all the translations for the DS.

I bought this game new and still haven't opened it. Other than finding it to be wonderful, are there notable elements to it that are making it so great? I heard the visuals and soundtrack are excellent but I'm wondering how it goes above and beyond the Seiken Densetsu games.

Someone from work told me about this game awhile ago. I thought it looked pretty good but no emulation card. If it's ever released in English to any country I'll pick it up but it'll be quite some time until I play it otherwise. The 3DS so close to release I'd rather get an emulation card for that.

Given how long ago it was released in Japan, I strongly doubt this will ever come out officially in the west. A shame.

To highlight what I love about it:

Artwork
Soundtrack
Story/Characters

The battlesystem isn't perfect but very enjoyable and the interface/menu system on the touchscreen is also very well put to use.
