Earlier this month I had bought a copy of Super Mario Kart, it was broken everytime you would start a race it was glitched to hell and back. So I contacted the seller and he agreed to give me a refund if I sent the game back. So I sent it back. I just need to know is there some sort of rule where he has to refund me the original shipping costs as well as the cost of the game? or is it up to the seller to decide that?
I know the shipping costs to return it are on me.

When sellers do refunds they usually refund the entire paypal payment, which includes shipping. Not all of them do it that way but thats usually how it ends up from my experience.

There are no "rules" per se, but I'd ask for your original shipping fees back. If the buyer declines, you can file a "not as described" dispute on Paypal and they'll force the seller to send you a full refund. You must have a tracking number proving the item has been returned to the seller for this to work, though.
