[Lowest Market Value] Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition

I am currently looking for a Deluxe Edition of Demon's Souls and i want to know what is the lowest market price they go for :wink 2:


On eBay i have seen a few copies on the 60 usd range but they use stock photos and i don't want to get only the artbook and soundtrack.


Anyone have seen this game used on Gamestop or similar stores ? :puppydogeyes:

I had to literally fight for my new copy, that I had reserved! Some GameStop employee took my reserve for themselves, and then the manager had to try to let me down softly. Anyway, after a decent argument, she promised she'd try to locate another for me. She eventually did, and I picked it up.

After that whole ordeal, I wound up playing it for maybe 4 hours, and putting it in one of my crates. It IS the boxed foil cover deluxe edition. No stickers, no scuffs.. it's literally perfect. If you can wait until NJ stops getting snowed on every other day, I'd be more than happy to pack it up nice and mail it to you if you'd wanna paypal me a fair amount.

I generally only "collect" the games that I play and enjoy. Demon's Souls was wayyy too hard for me. The last games I played that were that difficult were the King's Field series for PS1 & PS2.

Anyway, message me if you want it. I accept paypal. Or maybe you wanna trade for something. Either way... I'm pretty easy to deal with. I also have 100% perfect feedback on eBay. Username: jdroxycut

Another option to consider is looking into the demon's souls black phantom edition. This was released in europe and I believe is nearly identical to the US Deluxe except that if you use that disc you play on the European servers. Just throwing that out there since they could be had for a reasonable price new a while back. Not really sure about now.

I forgot that the PS3 is region free, i will check the Black Phantom edition; pretty much I'm going for the cheapest one :)

For those of us dying in anticipation, how much did it end up going for? I was going to try to see if I could trade mine for a Limited Edition of Mass Effect 1, but I'm not sure if the two are comparable.

I sold it to Eskobar for $50 US. Not because I am an idiot... but because I'm just trying to help out. I wish someone would have done the same when I was looking for a complete Persona 4. I have it, but it's incomplete.

I figured since I got Demon's Souls Deluxe for $70 new.. and I opened it, and played for a few hours.. I'd let him take it for $50. I've seen it go for way more in perfect shape like mine.. but that's besides the point I suppose.

He really seems to thoroughly enjoy the game. I just thought it was a prettier Kings Field game, that was wayy to hard for me. I'll stick to the easier more casual games.

Also notice there were over 100 views on this. I know Dark Souls is on it's way, and I'm sure there will be an influx of people looking for Demon's Souls for collectible reasons... but I would rather see Eskobar enjoy the game, rather than someone putting it on a shelf as a collector's trophy.

Bottom line, I see people do good deeds here all the time. It restores some of the very little faith I have in other people when I see this. I just felt it was my turn. If I could afford to give it to him as a gift.. I would have.

PS: Are there any Mana Khemia fans out there? I have both the PS2 and PSP games in perfect shape with a soundtrack CD. Not trying to make a ton of money.. just thinning my collection. I'll post in the For Sale area soon with pics.

I saw a few guides listed on eBay for 99.99 usd ... some with the front page ripped-off :confused:, I know that some guides sold in that condition and price, but how the hell do people buy just a guide when you can get complete Deluxe Edition for less !!!

I have seen DS Deluxe Ed. complete on 70, 90 and 120 usd listed in the same time that people has bought the guide for 99.99 ... pretty strange for me :deadhorse:

when stuff gets zero'd out at some stores they rip off the cover and send that back to the company then throw away the actual magazine, someone most likely was dumpster diving.

As you probably know, the strategy guide are exclusive to the Deluxe Edition, making it quite scarce, hence the very high prices ...

But the ripped covers come from Atlus .... :puppydogeyes:

Apparently the production of the guides had problems with the cover and the ink was easily removed, this problem caused a Guide Replacement Program by ATLUS that required to send the first 2 pages to prove that you had the guide ...

Many people selling their DS Deluxe Ed actually sell it with 2 guides ... one complete and one with the cover ripped-off ...

and "smart" people just sent the 2 pages to ATLUS even if the guide was fine, just to make "a few" bucks on eBay with the extra guide :)

I got one with the flunky cover... but it's all there. Thought it possibly got drenched or something at first. Then noticed the inside pages were too nice for that to have happened. Interesting to find this out, but finding the book more than a year after the redemption thing shut-down is kinda a bummer, oh well. Half-Price Books find, $5. Can't complain.

I'm thinking I should make a jacket cover or something for it. Keep it from completely turning white. At least coat the spine or something so it's still detectable on a shelf later on.

Dang, I had no idea about the cover problems or trade-in program. Not sure how that got by me, was DP down?

Now that I look at my guide, I see the issue, I just thought it was because I used it so much. Fortunately I was pretty careful with it even while using it a ton, so it isn't too bad. Hopefully everyone else besides Icarus traded theirs in, so ours are the only two originals in existence! :D

I actually traded my DS Guide's cover in and got the second guide in the mail a few weeks later :) Now I have two guides: one for reading and the other one is safely stored away :bday:

I'm curious about when to sell this to get the most value for it. On the one hand, it seems like the value will go up when Demons Souls 2 come out, however they're going to be cutting online support the original game at that point. Anyone have any insight?

Even if you can get the Platinum Trophy playing entirely offline, the price may go up or down depending on how good is DARK SOULS.

If you want to sell, now is a good moment because the hype in both games is quite high .....

And because of the problem with the guides and limited production of the deluxe edition, the price will always go up.

I haven't had any problems with my guide, although is not very comfortable to read being a bit small ... so practically the guide is still like new :)
