I found a Sega 32X Blockbuster rental carrying case, and have never seen one before. I know the Virtual Boy cases are the most common (from my experience) and highly sought after, but are these in demand at all?

I'm sure that you'll have no problems getting rid of it. The Sega Genesis 2/Sega CD 2 cases seem to be the most common in my travels and $20-30 is a decent price for them, so expect to get a similar price for your 32x case if you are interested in selling it.
