Just got the game and I'm loving it, but I'm wondering how hard this game gets?
In comparison to the other 3 (I found 2 the hardest) how hard is this game?
I ask because I'm thinking of enabling a hard mode cheat that turns off the hearts and kills you in one hit like the classic games.

I think I'm on world 3, and it's pretty hard. I never played the 2nd DKC though, and I've been playing with a friend and we kinda suck. I'd say you give it a run through without the cheat and go back if it's too easy.

If Donkey Kong returned, and he is hard on the Wii, you got to be careful.
On a side note, I will be playing this game in the next few weeks, since it will be borrowed. Probably the second Wii game I actually play to finish in the nearly 4 years I've had the Wii. LOL

Played it last weekend briefly with my niece. I only had a change to play part way through world 1 which was very easy to me. I'm sure it get's hard as you go. It was pretty fun and regardless of how hard it is I will be buying it.

Ape penis is so hard it can break apart walls. Be careful.

I'm at the beginning of world 4, and so far hasn't been too difficult. Some of the mine cart stages gave me a hard time. I play without the 'chuck(sideways wiimote only), and find the constant shaking of the remote really annoying and unreliable. Other than that I like the game.

Right now I'm stuck on the boss in World 7. There are plenty of opportunities to get extra lives, but trust me, you WILL need them. If the normal levels don't give you enough of a challenge, the special Kong Temple stages will.
Not to mention, once you beat the game, you can unlock a harder mode where the levels are mirrored, and DK can only take one hit.

this is the really great thing about having a modded wii. you can bind that function to any button or even use a classic controller to play. ive been enjoying the game a lot more since i dont have to shake to controller every 3 seconds.

So, I take it you can't use a gamecube controller? I thought that was a good move for Goldeneye to use the gamecube controller. So it there any configuration where I won't have use that annoying motion stuff, I mean c'mon I just like to relax when I play.

Overall, the game is hard in certain areas. The mine cart stage in world 6 was a pain in the a** but everything else was ok.
