I'm considering importing a copy of Bomberman Wars for the Saturn, wondering if anyone here had played it and how import friendly it was?

I'm suspecting though it's a SRPG since it's a Bomberman game it won't be too in depth and will be icon plenty like Shining Force III.

BUMP!
I actually got a copy of this a few years back and it's not super import friendly honestly :-\. That or I just couldn't really get into it. I can give it another shot this weekend though. Your order already?

Hey man,

Sorry, I didn't have too much time to try this sucker out over the weekend. I managed to try a bit before coming into work this morning though.

Honestly, you can fumble through it with no understanding of Japanese, but since all of the menus are written in kana, it's going to be a bit of a memory game for me.

I managed to successfully move my characters and place bombs around the enemy. The big hang up I had was in advancing to the next turn. You have to press either Start or Y and just hit C on the first option there, and that will end your turn allowing the enemy to advance and continue the game.

It plays a lot like Shining Force, except your attack takes about 5 turns to actually impact since you're waiting for bombs to detonate. Honestly, I love Bomberman, but this is a little bit ponderous for my taste. But then again, I got tired of Shining Force too so take that with a grain of salt.

I got it just so I could add another Bomberman to my collection :D

Haha, thanks for the opinion!

I love Shining Force and have yet to tire of it after playing it countless times. Although the idea of waiting 5 turns for bombs to go off isn't appealing. Even if it makes sense.

Think I shall wait till I see it at a reasonably cheap price before buying it.

I'd say that's a sound decision. If you can find a decent translation of the menus I might prioritize it slightly higher. Gamefaqs perhaps?
