Hi! I've recently bought lot of 5 Sega CD (NTSC-US) games including: Slipheed, Mickey Mania, Popful Mail (yaaaaay!), Frankenstein and Sonic CD. All of them complete (except Sonic CD) and in really good condition. Price of that lot? Aprox 60$. IMO it was a good deal, especially when Popful Mail costs on eBay 100$. Not to mention that all of the NTSC Sega CD games in my country are hard to find.

Here's the problem: I've been looking for a good, working offer for a Sega CD model 2 module only at eBay since beginning of november. And found nothing. :< Also, I searched nearly every possible to find in Google US VG online shop similar to Console Passion or Japan Game Stock with Sega CD in reasonable price. Also nothing even overpriced. :<

Now I'm pissed. >_<

So, here's my questions:

1.If I combine a Mega CD model 2 (PAL) with Genesis model 2 (NTSC-US), will it work?
2. In conjunction with Tototek's Megacart, does this hybrid will play games like Lunar or Popful Mail in 60 Hz?
3. Can I swap cartridges during a gameplay (for example: to save game in 3rd chapter in Shining Force CD onto memory backup cartridge)?

Hope someone will reply my questions. ;)

Of course, sorry for my broken English!

1.If I combine a Mega CD model 2 (PAL) with Genesis model 2 (NTSC-US), will it work?

No. Mega-CD must be of same region as Mega Drive. If Mega Drive/Genesis is modified to output same Hertz as Mega-CD, then you can use the Mega Cart to play games from any region.

2. In conjunction with Tototek's Megacart, does this hybrid will play games like Lunar or Popful Mail in 60 Hz?

Yes, if you modify the Genesis to 50 Hz. When you turn on the system, switch to 60 Hz.

3. Can I swap cartridges during a gameplay (for example: to save game in 3rd chapter in Shining Force CD onto memory backup cartridge)?

No.
