Hey guys, I am cleaning out my small collection and getting ready to sell more games than I originally intended. While prepping, I came across my copies of Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons. Both are boxed with all the inserts/manuals. Games have been played, but show virtually no wear. These boxed games are about as "mint" as I think one could find outside of finding a sealed copy.
Wasn't originally planning on selling, but for s-and-g's I decided to see how much people were paying for these on eBay. Quite surprised at the prices some copies have sold for. Wasn't expecting people to pay about $40 for one and close to $100 for both. Are these semi-accurate prices? Are the Oracle games sought after that much? If I were to sell them, any suggestions for flat-rate prices?
Thanks for the input!

Yep, they regularly sell for $40-$50 each mint in box complete and $100 each sealed mint.

Weird b/c there are CIB "very good condition" copies of both Ages and Seasons on Amazon for $25 right now.

It happens. I got both of my CIB copies for less than $25 each and this was within the past year. Wasn't via ebay though, nor Amazon. I'd say $25 minimum each is a good benchmark with anywhere from $35-$45 as a max. For a while Ages used to be the more expensive game (at least locally) then it seemed there was a flip-flop. No matter, anywhere from $25-$40 is fair game in my opinion.

I would be very hesitant to buy GB games on Amazon or even on Ebay unless I knew the seller pretty well. There are many, many bootlegs and foreign release versions and very good likely means a very heavily damaged box, soiled manual and cart with writing or stickers on it. $40-$50 is a very accurate range for each game in truly mint condition as the OP has described.

I'd be hesistant too without pictures. However, Amazon merchants can be contacted and I've regularly asked and received photos of cardboard boxed games. ebay of course more often than not has photos so there's really nothing to speculate or worry about.

Unless I'm missing them, I just checked Amazon and all the used copies in the $25 or under range seem to be cart only. Not exactly an apples to apples comparison to mint complete in box as here.

It's there for both games, look under "collectible" instead of "used" and there are complete copies for $24.99 plus shipping from ThunderhillBooks.

Yep, I see it now. Rule number one on Amazon Marketplace, don't buy games from a used book store. You are guaranteed to get poor quality stuff.

They can? Since when? Part of why I don't buy stuff there is (or was) the fact that I couldn't find a way to ask questions about items.

If you click on the sellers name and then click on the right side where it says "more about this seller", it takes you to the seller feedback page, and there is a little highlight on the right side that says "contact seller". You can then ask for pictures or ask questions and many sellers will actually provide pictures and answers, although I have also had quite a few basically tell me to look elsewhere as they don't really want to deal with collectors and high standards.

@Bojay1997: I'd also like to point out that the seller doesn't have any feedback at all yet, it's a new user. Who knows if that seller is trustworthy with descriptions on item condition, or is trustworthy at all.

Still surprised these games go for this much! I bought the games for $5 a piece years ago when the GBC was on its way out. Played them off and on, never beating either one, and just recently dug them out of a box.
Not going to sell as of now, but hopefully the prices stay in the $25 range. Maybe one day I'll finally beat both games too!

$20-$25 +shipping, depending on the condition.

Again, a lot of it depends on condition. I have never seen mint complete copies go for $25. Used complete, sure. Mint complete, no way.
