So after a long day at disneyland yesterday i decided to use my "park hopper" pass and check out the California Adventure across the street. To my surprise, I walk into one of the coolest things i have ever witnessed, elecTRONica, a dance music fuelled Tron event topped off by every classic game enthusiasts dream, FLYNN'S ARCADE! This is truly the stuff i dreamed of as a yougster from space duel to gauntlet they truly have all you could want to play. Not to mention Space Paranoids! a game that isn't even a "real" game! Has anyone else been yet? If so picked up any high scores? Iam kinda shocked that i hadn't heard about this sooner...

I was watching videos of Flynn's Arcade at elecTRONica yesterday, and it looks REALLY impressive, I would love to go, but there's no time to go really between now and closing time in April.
Space Paranoids is indeed a real game, it was originally made for online play for the Flynn Lives viral marketing campaign, and it's REALLY cool to see that it was made into a full-fledged cabinet that has such a similar feel to how it looked in the original Tron from 1982.
From what I saw in the video, the arcade looks dead-on to how it looked in the movie, and it's good to see how close Disney pays attention to detail.
Here's a video of the arcade in action (No idea how to embed on the forums)

Man, I wish Disney World had something Tron related (other than skinning the monorails with Tron Legacy lightbike graphics).
Heading back down there in Feb, and I'm guessing that I won't be seeing anything Tron related other than a few shirts in gift shops.
:(

Yeah, but I'm not going out to California now or in the forseeable future.
ElecTRONica and Flynn's Arcade are in Disney Land (CA), not Disney World (FL).
I know it's Disney Land and all, but how cool is it to see an actual arcade filled with people? I think Flynn's would be the main attraction for me!

I have to appreciate that it seems like all the machines are running and nicely cleaned up/repaired - everything working, great atmosphere (very close to the movie) and lots of people having fun. nice attention to detail disney!

I've been over there several times so far. I have managed to snag the Pole Position high score ever time as well. Unfortunately, they turn off the games during the week and it wipes the scores for most games.
It has been very crowded the last few times so you don't get a chance to play as many games as you would like. I wish they would have it open more often.

Wow, right out of the peak of the 1980s. Even had Rush playing on the stereo.
