Most of my experiences on this website have been less then favorable. Not because of the (very few, I'm seriously lucky to ever get one) transactions I've had, because they have all went well . It's just because of simply lack of responses and reasons for not trading/selling. Here's an example. I've sent an offer to EVERY person selling OOT CIB for $30~$35 + shipping. I think it was a reasonable price, but I'd even go higher if the seller wanted me to.
I've got about two thirds of the people not responding (not even declining the trade, although it shows they've logged in) or getting a message from them that says that they're not actually willing to trade the game and that they want to keep it in their collection (why even have it listed???) I only had ONE person decline the trade because of a legit reason. The other 11 are who knows why! This happens to me all the time.
Sellers either are just not willing to deal with an item they've listed as *Available* or simply don't respond. I currently have about 20 offers that are going to fade away because of lack or response that show the user HAS logged on since the offer was made. I can almost never get a deal going because of this or because an *Available* listing is not actually available because the user doesn't actually want to trade their game.
What do you guys think about this website?

I think it's okay. But some people there will ignore you, especially if you're new. It takes a long time to establish a decent reputation. :|

Crap! You just reminded me that I haven't checked my status there in months!
Yeah, I've had some luck a few times, but they're few and far between. Which is alright. It serves a purpose.
Edit: Ah, looks like I auto-timed out and I'm deactivated for now. Well, at least I didn't leave too many offers hanging there from not checking in. I forgot all about it since I haven't had any trade activity there in quite a while.

About 90% of the trades I make on GameTZ come from the forums. Just make a WTB post in the Classifieds or Console Marketplace saying you're looking to buy OOT for $30-$35. I'd be surprised if someone doesn't contact you within 24 hours willing to sell.
I've been there for 10+ years and have over 300 trades. I like it a lot but yeah, I don't have much success with the offer system either. I don't use it unless I'm trying to track something down that's hard to find. Otherwise, I just stick to the forums.

I never much cared for dealing in cash on GameTZ. If I wanted cash for my games, I'd put them on eBay. Surely eBay has CIB OOTs aplenty? And if they're too expensive, why would you expect someone on GameTZ to go substantially lower?
Anyway, we've had more than a few threads about GameTZ here already.

If you were local to me I'd of sold you my near mint complete copy with official player's guide for $40. I've never done any transaction with shipping before and the main problems to me are packing with shipping costs(which are higher in Canada), and accepting payment as I don't have Paypal.
I've responded to a couple of posts in the swap shop here for trades and never got a reply back at all. I seem to have better luck locally for buying and selling so I'll probably just stick with that.

GameTZ was the sh-t back in 2001. Lots of people wheeling and dealing.
2002 it wasn't bad. I think that's the year the subscription took over.
2K3 and on it's been declining rapidly ever since. That's when people, from my experience, became more interested in showing off their collections than actually trading and bartering, which made GameTZ so cool and fun back in 2001.
I haven't used it in years though so I can't speak for its condition today. Like most things though, it'll be hit and miss.

I still do trades from time to time on there but it gets annoying as HELL when people post trades asking for stuff in my collection list. I have it typed out on my bio page that if it was available for trade, it would be on the AVAILABLE list. :frustrated:
I'll field the random trade offer but 99% of the time they get declined or expire. Most of the time anymore, I scout out the forums and establish trades/sales with people there. I've been a subscriber in the past, but it did feel like the traffic dropped considerably after they implemented it. I need to get off my duff and resubscribe at some point.

Like hittin on women, you gotta put yourself out there over and over again only to get rejected over and over again. But persistence pays off. I do a ton of trades on GTZ (tho lately I haven't had as much time for it). I think part of your problem is you're after something specific. That's always tough on there. If you have a long want list, you're more likely to get stuff than looking for one specific thing unless it's super common.
